An 11-bedroom, alpine estate in Vail, CO, complete with a hidden “in-floor” wine cellar, just hit the market for $78 million—making it the week’s most expensive home listing by more than $10 million.
The 15,086-square-foot megamansion boasts Vail Mountain and Gore Range views courtesy of its imposing six-story design and also features two outdoor pools, three spas, two elevators, numerous fireplaces, and “fully appointed kitchenettes/bars on five” of its six floors.
It has been reported that the staggering home is owned by biotech executive Kevin Ness and his wife, Stephanie, who are said to have purchased the enormous property for $57.25 million back in 2020.
Designed for grand-scale entertaining, the enormous residence also features a third-floor great room, a screening room, an indoor pool and wellness room, 12 washer/dryers, and 21 heated ski lockers.
Other pricey properties this week include a Crystal Bay, NV, contemporary under construction; a Mediterranean-style mansion in Montecito, CA; and a renovated Beverly Hills, CA, midcentury estate once owned by comedian David Spade.
