Kylie Kelce Reveals Why She and Jason Refuse To Have a Live-In Nanny at Their Family Home
Kylie Kelce is opening up about life at home with husband Jason Kelce and their four young daughters, revealing why the couple have decided against hiring a live-in nanny despite their demanding schedules.
The 34-year-old podcast host offered a glimpse into the family's childcare arrangements during an appearance on an episode of "IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson." She explained that she and the former Philadelphia Eagles star prefer to keep their relatives closely involved in raising their children.
The couple, who share daughters Wyatt, 7, Elliotte, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finnley, 1, have built a support system that allows them to balance their professional commitments with family life.
A major part of that arrangement involves Kylie's parents, Lisa and Ed McDevitt, who live just 15 minutes from the family's Philadelphia-area home.
Kylie explained that her parents regularly help care for the girls, making it possible for her and Jason to navigate their busy schedules without relying on round-the-clock childcare.

Although the couple do employ a nanny, Kylie revealed that the arrangement is limited to traditional working hours rather than having someone live in their home.
“My husband and I have very busy schedules. We don’t necessarily want a live-in nanny or someone who’s going to be raising our kids void of us. That feels weird. So we do a lot with my parents every chance we get. We do things with Jason’s parents. We find that those are the values that we were raised with that we want our kids to have, not just because we tell them that, but because we live it," she explained.
The decision, she explained, reflects their desire to remain actively involved in their daughters' everyday lives.
Rather than bringing in someone to provide full-time care, the Kelces turn to their extended family for additional support.
Kylie said maintaining those close family relationships is particularly important because she wants her daughters to grow up with the same values that shaped her and Jason's childhoods.
She also emphasized how grateful she is for the nanny who helps the family during the workday, acknowledging that the additional support is essential to managing their responsibilities.
However, the couple's approach to childcare goes beyond convenience.
For Kylie, living close to her parents has been a priority, and she admitted that the thought of settling somewhere far from her family has never appealed to her.
“We couldn’t do it without my parents. My parents live 15 minutes from us, and they have helped us in every way imaginable," she said.

The Pennsylvania native explained that remaining in the area where she grew up has allowed her to preserve those relationships while raising her own family.
That connection to her hometown has also influenced the kind of upbringing she hopes to provide her daughters.
Kylie wants the girls to become familiar with the places that shaped her childhood, from local businesses to the community organizations that continue to play a role in her life.
She believes that growing up with those personal connections can help children develop a stronger sense of responsibility toward the communities around them.
Her own involvement with the Eagles Autism Foundation is one example of how she has maintained those local ties.
For Kylie, the opportunity to contribute to the community where she was raised is another benefit of remaining close to home.
However, she did shout out their nanny.
“Now, granted, we do have a nanny. I always give a shoutout because we couldn’t do it without her, but we have her during regular work hours and really nothing outside of that," she added.
