EXCLUSIVE: Aaron Rodgers Puts His Malibu Beach Retreat on Market for $40 Million—After Listing New Jersey and Wisconsin Homes
NFL legend Aaron Rodgers has brought his jaw-dropping Malibu Beach mansion to the market for $39.5 million—marking the third property that the quarterback has listed within the past year.
Rodgers, 42, who is preparing for his second season with the Pittsburgh Steelers and his final in the NFL, purchased the expansive beachfront dwelling for $28 million in 2019, when he was in a relationship with former professional racing driver Danica Patrick.
Property records show that the athlete, who was signed to the Green Bay Packers when he bought the six-bedroom dwelling, carried out the deal using a trust registered to his financial adviser Timothy Halverson, who also serves as the treasurer of the Aaron Rodgers Foundation.
In January 2025, Rodgers opened up about the property—and the impact the California wildfires had on the surrounding area.
While his home remained unscathed, many of his friends had not been so lucky, he noted.
"My home is fine. I’m not in the areas that have been affected, but it’s been a weird time for so many that live down here," he said during an appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show."
"Friends of mine have lost houses. A number of friends in Palisades have lost their homes, a number of friends in Pasadena were affected, friends around Runyon Canyon."
The listing, which is held by Chad Pittman of W Real Estate, makes no mention of the property's famous owner. Instead, it focuses on the impressive amenities the dwelling offers, from its location within "one of Malibu's most coveted oceanfront enclaves" to its "direct beach access" and incredible views.

"This exceptional estate pairs a beautifully remodeled four-bedroom main residence with a stunning two-bedroom guest house, capturing the essence of California coastal living through architectural refinement, privacy, and an effortless connection to the Pacific," the description states.
More like a miniature compound than a single-family home, the property features a dazzling three-story primary residence and a charming guesthouse with two bedrooms.
The main property offers spectacular views of the ocean, which are beautifully framed by expansive windows and "walls of disappearing glass" that elegantly blur the lines between the indoors and outdoors.
According to the listing, the mansion has been "extensively renovated" in recent years. Images reveal a refined interior aesthetic, with a "palette of warm wood, concrete, Venetian plaster, and bespoke detailing."
At the heart of the home is an open-plan kitchen with a large marble island that has ample seating space. The sizable dining space currently holds an enormous wooden table that seats eight.
The kitchen and dining space flow directly into a charming living area, which has a very California coastal aesthetic. This space features a "statement fireplace" and one of the aforementioned glass walls, which opens to a large balcony.
The primary suite is a standout, described as a "private retreat" within the expansive 4,625-square-foot abode. Continuing the emphasis on indoor-outdoor living, this space features a wall of windows that opens to a sizable balcony, with plenty of room for relaxation.
There is also a luxurious spa-inspired bathroom with dual sinks, a walk-in closet, and a private sitting room.
"Three additional bedrooms, a dedicated family room, and an expansive home gym provide exceptional day-to-day functionality," the description adds.

Outside, the 0.61-acre hillside parcel offers a unique layering of different amenities, with the home perched above a picturesque pool and spa area with plenty of room for loungers.
Lush gardens create a private oasis that "cascades" toward the ocean, with several seating areas dotting the beautiful greenery.
"A dedicated beachfront sitting area, outdoor shower, and storage for beach equipment complete the quintessential experience," the listing continues.
The Malibu abode is the third property that Rodgers has put on the market since November 2025, when he listed his sprawling Wisconsin home for $3.7 million.
He listed his four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom dwelling in Hobart, WI, on Nov. 10 for more than double the price he paid in March 2015.
It's understood that the home served as Rodgers' primary residence for the next seven years, until he was traded to the Jets—with whom he spent just two seasons, before signing with the Steelers.
The lavish house certainly offered plenty of luxury for Rodgers to enjoy during the height of his NFL career. It boasts more than 10,500 square feet of living space and sits on a 5.32-acre lot that is filled with lush greenery.
According to the listing, the property is a "one-of-a-kind, custom-built all-stone estate tucked away on a very serene and private beautifully landscaped acres."

The property—which appears somewhat unassuming from the outside—also offers ample privacy thanks to the trees that surround it on three sides, creating a natural barrier from prying eyes.
Months after putting that dwelling on the market, Rodgers listed another home: his New Jersey mansion, which he bought for $9.5 million in 2023, four months after he was traded to the New York Jets.
His time with the team lasted just two years, before he signed a one-year deal with the Steelers, an agreement that he extended for the 2026 season.
Having committed to finishing his NFL career with the Pennsylvania team, Rodgers apparently has no reason to maintain roots in New Jersey, and his property near the Jets' MetLife Stadium appeared on the market earlier this month for $15 million.
Unlike his Malibu and Wisconsin homes, the New Jersey property, which is located on the border of Montclair and Cedar Grove, boasts a very modern look, with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame a beautiful outdoor space.
"This stunning residence features eight ensuite bedrooms, 9.5 baths, and an all-glass and composite metal exterior that frames the iconic cityscape from every east-facing exposure," the listing notes.
The property has also been outfitted with a number of high-tech features, including "an advanced AI-integrated security system, 10 Gigabit fiber optic connectivity, enterprise WiFi, Lutron lighting, motorized privacy shades, and radiant heated floors throughout."
