Apsyn Ovard has officially moved on from her life with ex-husband Parker Ferris and cemented her status as a California resident by selling the Utah home the former couple shared with their growing family.

The 28-year-old YouTube sensation, who first rose to fame on the platform at the tender age of 14, left her fans stunned in April when it was revealed that she had filed for divorce from Ferris, 29, after eight years of marriage—submitting the legal documentation on the same day that she welcomed their third child.

Not long after giving birth to her youngest daughter, whose name she has not revealed publicly, Ovard announced that she had purchased a beach house in California, explaining that she planned to split her time between the $4.65 million home and her property in Herriman, UT.

However, Ovard has now revealed that the “trauma” of her divorce has left her incapable of living in the Utah property, prompting her to put it on the market for $984,900, only to end up finding a buyer within a little over three weeks. The sale is pending, per Realtor.com® records.

While the home hasn’t officially sold yet, that hasn’t stopped Ovard from celebrating the milestone post-divorce moment in a new YouTube video, explaining to her 2 million followers why she decided to sell the property—and what her plans are for her future in California as a single mother.

Divorce drama

Ovard and Ferris met while she was still in high school, at a time when the YouTube star’s presence—which focused on fashion and beauty—was really starting to take off.

Ferris started helping with her videos, and she created a joint YouTube account (which has since been changed just to her name) in order to document their daily lives together. The two married in 2015, when she was 19 and he was 20.

Along with continuing to create content, the two also built homes together in Utah, where they are both from, ultimately building and selling four homes as a couple.

During their eight-year marriage, the pair welcomed three daughters—their newborn, as well as Cove and Lola, whom Ovard has increasingly been sheltering from public view.

Over on her TikTok account, Ovard has opened up about various elements of her divorce, detailing her struggle to come to terms with being part of a “broken family,” while also explaining how she and Ferris are navigating their new dynamic, particularly in the wake of her move to California with their three kids.

Sold in Salt Lake City!

In her most recent YouTube video, titled “i sold my house!!! moving on from the trauma yay,” Ovard goes about her daily chores while speaking out about her decision to sell her former family home in Utah.

Noting that this is the first Thanksgiving she was spending without her family, she reveals, “I do have an exciting update, and that is I sold my house in Salt Lake.”

She adds that she wasn’t initially sure what she was going to do with the home, explaining that she didn’t know “what her plan was.” However, after returning to the property, the “trauma” became too much for her to handle.

“Every time I went back there, I was so triggered by that environment and the memories I had of that home,” she confesses, adding that she felt the time was right for someone else to give the house “new life.”

However, Ovard never expected to get an offer so quickly.

“I got so lucky. I got a really great offer,” she explains, adding the the process happened “super quick” and that the buyers actually wanted to keep most of her and Ferris’ furniture, making the process even easier for her.

“It just made it super easy to wrap the whole process up,” she says. “It’s really all said and done now.”

But Ovard has a backup plan should she ever want to visit her family and friends in Utah, adding that she could easily stay with her mom or rent an Airbnb—although, she notes that she has no plans to return to her home state on a regular basis.

“But I don’t like to go back there for no reason,” she admits. “So I don’t plan to be back there very often.”

‘Weight off my shoulders’

Ovard definitely seems to have put Utah, and her life there, behind her as she focuses on her future in California. She reveals that the home sale is “kind of a big weight off my shoulders,” explaining that the stress of keeping up with payments on the property were weighing heavily on her.

“I was still paying to maintain the home,” she says. “It was just expensive for, like, no reason because, obviously, no one was there.”

Home for the holidays

In other footage shot from her car while getting breakfast with her kids, Ovard recounts how they spent the holiday weekend.

“We were here by ourselves for Thanksgiving,” she says, adding that they normally spend the holiday with her mom or Ferris’ family, “so we’ve never had to make the food or anything.”

Instead, she ordered from Whole Foods. The food was “so good” and tasted “really yummy and homemade,” she insists, adding that she also took her three children to see “Moana 2,” before heading out on a girls night to see “Wicked” with her friends.

Ovard does have a “to-do list” for next week. Although, the extremely organized shopper has already finished her Christmas shopping. However, she says she still has some important tasks ahead and plans to decorate the house next week.

Family home

Ovard and Ferris purchased the brand-new build in 2018 for an undisclosed amount. The home offers six bedrooms and 3.5 baths across 4,618 square feet.

Inside, the bright and airy abode offers a great room with two-story ceilings and oversized windows that allow in natural light.

The open living area features a gas fireplace, an adjacent dining space, and a gourmet kitchen.

A second story loft provides flexible space for a media room, gym, or reading nook. The main-level primary suite offers tray ceilings and a spa-inspired primary bath with a separate tub and shower, vanity area, and a custom-designed closet organizer.

The lower-level, fully finished basement features a movie area with a projector for viewing movies, plenty of space for a pool/pingpong table, a kitchenette for easy hosting, and a dedicated exercise room.

Outside, a grassy backyard patio contains a retractable awning, perfect for outdoor gatherings.

The YouTube star has since relocated to Newport Beach, CA.
