Actor Will Smith has once again waded into the center of a furious controversy after putting on a very intimate performance with singer India Martínez—a display that has been slammed by critics as “inappropriate” and “creepy.”

The 56-year-old “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star was seen putting on a raunchy show with Martínez, 39, during a live performance of their song “First Love.”

In a clip shared on Instagram, Smith was seen puckering up his lips and going in for a steamy kiss with the singer, before the pair pulled away from each other and kept dancing.

While some hit out at the over-the-top show, others raised questions about what the performance signals about the status of Smith’s marriage to actress Jada Pinkett Smith, 53, from whom he has been estranged for several years.

The couple’s separation was first brought to light in 2023, when Pinkett Smith confessed during an interview with “Today” host Hoda Kotb that she and her husband had been living “completely separate lives” since 2016.

However, the duo have yet to divorce. Pinkett Smith told Kotbe that she views their relationship more as a “life partnership,” indicating that they may never officially end their marriage, no matter how long they spend apart.

Pinkett Smith—who shares three children with her estranged husband—did note that she had moved out of the couple’s longtime marital home, an extraordinary $42 million custom-built compound in Calabasas, CA, which they have owned for several years.

Will Smith nearly locked lips with singer India Martínez during a raunchy performance in Miami, sparking speculation about where the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star is hunkering down following his separation from Jada Pinkett Smith.

Pinkett Smith revealed scant details about her new home, only that she had purchased a property in the Los Angeles area.

However, it’s unlikely that any property could match the extravagance of the Calabasas compound on 150 acres.

The property was designed by architect Stephen Samuelson, who teamed up with Smith and Pinkett Smith in 1997, after they were inspired by the work he had done on the home of Carol Burnett, according to Architectural Digest.

However, it was to be a labor of love for the couple—who had to wait four years to secure the permits to begin construction on their dream home. It would sit at the center of an enormous property that they had amassed over time by buying up adjacent plots of land as they became available.

In the end, Smith and Pinkett Smith created an idyllic Mediterranean-inspired sanctuary for their family, boasting all manner of luxury from a meditation lounge and a recording studio to a sunken trampoline and basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts.

The property, which is believed to be the primary home of Smith, boasts nine bedrooms and 13 bathrooms.

The home graced the cover of Architectural Digest in 2011 and was briefly listed for sale for $42 million in 2014.

In September 2021, the couple had to renovate the property after a basement fire caused smoke damage. The family was home when the fire broke out but no injuries were reported, according to the New York Post.

In 2023, Pinkett Smith revealed that she and her husband had been living apart, noting that she had moved out of the home $56 million home they shared.

Pinkett Smith reportedly filmed “Red Table Talk,” her popular talk show that aired on Facebook Watch, inside the Calabasas home. The series ended in April 2023 after Meta decided to shutter all original programming on the streaming platform.

The series was at the center of major controversy when Pinkett Smith revealed that she had been involved in an “entanglement” with August Alsina.

Last year, the couple parted ways with one of the more modest properties in their robust real estate portfolio.

They decided to say goodbye to their five-bedroom home in the Baltimore suburb of Owings Mills, MD, which the Hollywood power couple likely purchased for a family member. It was listed in January for $795,000 and is pending sale.

The property, which last changed hands in 2012 for $460,000, is under the ownership of a trust that’s also listed on the deeds of the couple’s other homes.

The property might have been home to Pinkett Smith’s mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris.

Banfield-Norris is a Baltimore native and reportedly splits her time between Baltimore and Los Angeles. From 2018 to 2023, she co-hosted the Emmy-winning talk show “Red Table Talk” with Pinkett Smith and her granddaughter, Willow Smith.

Located in the lush Greenspring Valley neighborhood on a 0.70-acre lot, the charming property underwent several cosmetic upgrades before it was listed for sale. A newly paved driveway, new front walkway, and new garage door boost the home’s curb appeal.

A Maryland home owned by the estranged couple was listed for $795,000 last year.

New luxury vinyl plank flooring was installed throughout the first floor of the 3,184-square-foot house, and new bay windows and a new gas fireplace amp up the cozy factor in the living room.

Two of the home’s five bedrooms are en suite. The main-level primary has a gas fireplace, built-in shelving, a window seat, heated flooring, dual vanities, a large sunken tub with a romantic wall fire feature, a steam shower, and a walk-in closet. The second-story en suite comes with a sitting room and a recently renovated bathroom.

The kitchen features Shaker-style cabinets, stainless appliances, and a breakfast bar.

The A-listers also own several homes just outside of Los Angeles, including a five-bedroom, Mediterranean-style home in Woodland Hills, which they purchased in 2010 for $910,000, and a five-bedroom mansion in Hidden Hills, which cost them $3.4 million in 2003.

The couple’s daughter, singer and actress Willow, made a big real estate move of her own in 2020 when she picked up her scenic, single-story home in Malibu, CA, for $3.1 million.
