Simone Biles Reveals Glimpse Inside Her Palatial Chicago Home as She Cheers on NFL Star Husband Jonathan Owens

by Charlie Lankston

Gymnast Simone Biles is no stranger to the highs and lows of a jet-set lifestyle having been on multiple international trips over the last few months alone.

However she refuses to allow any exotic vacation or far-flung work trip to get in the way of cheering on husband Jonathan Owens at his NFL games—even if she has to spend even more time away from their home in Texas to do so.

Biles, 28, has been on the sidelines of nearly every one of Owens' preseason games with the Chicago Bears, joining her husband at the team's stadium in the Windy City.

Fortunately for the gymnastics superstar, her attendance at Bears games has been made that much easier by the fact that the couple now have a Chicago home to call their own. This means Biles and Owens can still enjoy life as husband and wife in the privacy of their abode—even if they're living more than 1,000 miles away from their sprawling mansion in Texas.

Biles has been happily documenting many of this season's games on her Instagram account, where she recently offered a glimpse inside their Windy City home base while running fans through the couple's routine the night before a big Bears matchup on the field.

The gymnast revealed a sneak peek inside the property while showcasing her routine on nights before she attends Owens' NFL games.

Though the athlete conceded that game weekends put a lot more strain on the players than those watching, she noted in the clip that they are "still a lot as an NFL wife," prompting her to try to reset physically and mentally before a stadium appearance.

On one such night, Biles ran through her pregame beauty regimen, which included an "everything shower" in the couple's elegant marble-clad bathroom—with the Olympic medalist relaxing in a robe while applying a hair mask.

Though perhaps not as luxurious as the bathroom they have designed for their custom-built lakefront home in Spring, TX, the space still boasts a very clean and modern feel, with a spacious shower, gold finishes, and a large mirror.

Angling the camera carefully at the mirror, she can be seen running a product through her tresses, before pulling her hair back in a large claw clip.

After completing that portion of her self-care routine, Biles heads down a large curved staircase to "spend time with my man," sharing a clip of the duo curled up happily in their living room—with the sporting icon making full use of the reclining section of their couch to get extra comfy.

The couple's living room in their Chicago house features minimal decor, with a football-themed picture seen hanging on the wall, while their spacious, open-plan kitchen can be seen in the background of the shot.

That room features an enormous island—which they have decorated with a bouquet of pink flowers—as well as gleaming white countertops and cupboards, accessorized with silver hardware.

Biles revealed in May that she and Owens, 30, had found a home in the Illinois city where it's thought they will base themselves for much of the season, taking them away from their newly built lakefront mansion in Texas.

However, she has not yet shared whether they have purchased a home, or if they are renting while they await to see what becomes of Owens' contract with the team—which is due to end this season.

Owens is in the midst of his second season with the Bears, after signing a two-year contract in 2024. He started his NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals in 2018, before moving to the Houston Texans, where he was playing when he and Biles began dating.

It is currently unclear whether the football pro plans to try to extend his run with the team, or whether he will enter negotiations with another NFL team in a bid to secure a new contract elsewhere.

And his future is not the only one being speculated about.

Biles—who boasts seven Olympic gold medals—sparked a frenzy of interest in her own sporting career recently when she hinted that she has not yet ruled out a return to gymnastics, or a bid for a place on Team USA for the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.

Speaking to Olympics.com, the athlete—who has competed in three Olympic Games starting in 2016—admitted that she has not decided whether she wants to retire or give herself another shot at Olympic glory before ending her career on the mat for good.

However, she noted that, whenever she chooses to leave gymnastics, she wants to do so on her own terms, rather than being forced to retire at a time that doesn't feel right to her.

"I want it to be my choice when I’m done," she said. "I don’t want the doctors to be like, ‘Hey, you can’t move on.'"

Biles added that, while she hasn't decided whether the 2024 Paris Games were her last, she would be happy to end her career with that performance.

"I’m grateful that if this (Paris) was the end, that I got to choose my ending," she explained.

When asked whether she would return to the sport in the hopes of securing a spot on Team USA for the 2028 Games, Biles conceded that she has left that door open.

"There’s more to it. … We’ll definitely see," she shared.

They broke ground on the home in early 2023.

Biles has previously shared a sneak peek in and around their Chicago pad on Instagram, where she posted a photo of a stunning swimming pool that overlooks a bright green stretch of grass, with a white barn seen in the distance.

"We're back," she captioned the image, while adding a location tag for Chicago.

Given that Biles and Owens' lakefront home is still undergoing renovations—despite being worked on for more than two years—it may be that they are glad to have another location in which to base themselves while that construction is completed.

Having shared numerous updates on the progress at her home, Biles revealed earlier this month that several rooms inside the abode were undergoing some "minor aesthetic adjustments," while posting photos of a construction crew hard at work in her property.

In the photos, which were posted on her Instagram Stories, several spaces in the property could be seen undergoing some fairly significant work, with scaffolding set up in one living space in front of some custom cabinets and built-ins.

Another snap showed unique wooden panelling on the wall of one room, with a construction worker pictured walking along some protective coverings that have been laid down to guard the wooden flooring from damage.

In her final photo taken inside the home, Biles poked fun at her description of the work as "minor," revealing an entertainment room that features noting but the bare bones, with wires seen sticking out of the walls and protective wooden panels covering the entire floor.

Fortunately for Biles, her new home is just a short distance from one of the world's premiere gymnastics training facilities—which just so happens to be owned by her parents, Nellie and Ron, who set up the facility in their hometown of Spring just a couple of years before their daughter made her Olympic debut.

Named the World Champions Centre, the gym is where Biles trained for all three Games she competed in, as well as multiple World and National championships.

Both of her homes in Texas are located within a few miles of the training center, including the property she bought back in 2020, four years after claiming her first Olympic gold.
