Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco had quite the decadent December. Not only did the couple start the festive season by announcing their engagement—it has now been revealed that they also splashed out on an enormous new $35 million marital abode in Beverly Hills, CA, in the very same week.
Gomez, 32, and Blanco, 36, shared their exciting relationship update on Dec. 11, when the former shared a series of images of herself modeling a dazzling diamond on that finger, revealing that her beau popped the question while they were enjoying a Taco Bell picnic.
However, what she didn’t reveal at the time was that she and Blanco had just closed on an enormous new seven-bedroom, 12-bathroom dwelling, which they purchased on Dec. 4, according to records seen by Realtor.com®.
The property actually comprises two lots that are home to an expansive main residence and two separate guesthouses—one of which boasts its own studio, while the other houses a home theater.
Prior to being purchased by Gomez and Blanco, the property was owned by a famous Hollywood director, according to TMZ, which first reported the news of the sale.
When the singer and her fiancé bought the home, it marked one of the priciest sales in the area in 2024.

The Spanish-inspired, opulent pad features a spiral staircase and library. Outside the mansion, there is a fitness center, pool, and a glass greenhouse solarium, which is a nod to Blanco’s green thumb; the singer has been known to use his garden to give back to the community.
The property is surrounded by lush landscaping and features sophisticated stone flooring encompassing the pool.
Gomez and Blanco purchased the property in an off-market deal that was carried out via an LLC that is associated with the music producer’s business manager.
The property was last sold in August 2021, when it was picked up for $30.7 million.
At the time, it was described in its listing as a “true masterwork” and a “perfect combination of authentic details, fine craftsmanship, and the best modern amenities.”
The listing noted that the home featured an array of different living spaces, including a “fairytale playroom” and a “sensational living room.”
News of Gomez and Blanco’s lavish purchase comes after the songstress revealed the pair had gotten engaged by boasting her sparkling rock on Instagram.
“Forever begins now,” she captioned the loved-up snaps of herself showing off the ring and cozying up to Blanco.
Gomez couldn’t help but to wax lyrical about the moment her lover slid the diamond on her ringer as she took to her Instagram Story to once again showcase its beauty.
She wrote, “Sorry last post … I’ve just dreamed of this moment my whole life.”
At the time, Jared Jewelers expert and VP of Merchandising Ann Grimmett told Us Weekly that diamond ring is estimated to be worth $225,000.
Grimmett also revealed that the rock was “rare, given less than five percent of diamonds are marquise.”
Gomez and Blanco’s relationship milestone was met with elation from her celebrity pals, with Taylor Swift even offering herself up as a potential bridal party member, commenting: “Yes I will be the flower girl.”

Meanwhile “Friends” actress Jennifer Aniston wrote: “HONEY!! Congratulations sweet mama!” and Cardi B chimed in: “Waiiiitttt hold on.”
Blanco previously revealed that he knew Gomez was going to be his wife during the early days of their relationship, with him telling Interview magazine he even told his mom he would be “marrying” the songstress.
“The second we started hanging out, I was like, ‘This is my wife,’ I was telling my mom, ‘This is the girl I’m going to marry,’” he told Interview magazine earlier this month.
The couple had previously collaborated on a slew of musical projects; however, they first sparked romance rumors in mid 2023, with them then confirming their relationship in December of that year, revealing on social media that had been seeing each other for “six months.”
In addition to planning their wedding and searching for the perfect decor in their dream property, the lovebirds are also collaborating on Gomez’s album, “I Said I Love You First,” which will be released on March 21.
The album’s debut single, “Scared of Loving You,” is a nod to her former partners as Gomez reveals that she would “love too fast” when she was “young.”
Since the duo began dating, former Disney star Gomez has also seen her professional life flourish, earning herself the ultra elite billionaire status this fall—an achievement that was prompted largely by the success of her Rare Beauty brand, which is now valued at $2 billion.
She’s also reaching new heights on social media, becoming the most-followed woman on Instagram, where she has amassed a legion of 423 million fans.
In addition to her new Beverly Hills property with Blanco, Gomez also holds the keys to a 9,000-square-foot property SoCal estate, which she purchased for $4.9 million in 2020, and four-bedroom, four-bath, 3,500-square-foot property in Los Angeles’ Woodland Hills neighborhood— a house she snapped up for $1.8 million in 2017.
Gomez has also owned many other homes. She spent the COVID-19 pandemic hunkered down in a cute, four-bedroom abode in Studio City, CA, that she picked up in 2017 for $2.24 million. Then, in August 2020, she unloaded it for a small profit, selling it for $2,368,000.
She also had a brief stint in the celebrity enclave of Calabasas, CA, buying up a place in 2014 for $3.7 million that ended up back on the market in 2015 for $4,495,000.
In 2011, while still a teen, Gomez’s parents, through a trust, reportedly picked up a San Fernando Valley home, where the young star lived for a time. It came on the market for $3.49 million in 2014 and sold for $3.45 million.
The “Spring Breakers” star also briefly owned a home in Fort Worth, TX. She picked up a sprawling spread in 2015 as a spot to stay while she visited family, but she didn’t hang on to it long. She placed the 10,000-square-foot property on the market in 2018 for $3 million, knocking it down to $2.7 million a few months later, when it finally sold.

More recently, the “Only Murders in the Building” star rented a New York City apartment on the Upper East Side while she was filming for the Hulu series that co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short.
Meanwhile, Blanco has been trying to offload his New York City apartment.
The chart-topping songwriter Blanco, whose given name is Benjamin Joseph Levin, purchased the three-bedroom loft in 2011 for $3,445,000.
He first listed the Chelsea home in May for $3,995,000 but, with no takers, has since dropped the price to $3,750,000.
The fully renovated condo boasts a prime corner location, 11-foot ceilings, and southeast-facing windows. The compact kitchen opens to the main living space and has a breakfast bar.
Building amenities include 24/7 door attendants, concierge service, and access to a gym, roof deck, and children’s playroom.
Prior to getting engaged to Blanco, Gomez was linked to Nick Jonas, Zedd, The Weeknd, and Drew Taggart.
However, her most famous romance was the her on-again, off-again relationship with fellow artist Justin Bieber, which lasted from 2011 to 2018.
