NRMLA announces 2025 western, annual meeting details

Less than two weeks ahead of its first in-person meeting of the year, the premiere trade association for the reverse mortgage industry has announced preliminary details for both its upcoming regional meeting and its annual meeting and expo slated for later this year.
The National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA) announced in a member update this week that the 2025 edition of the annual event will take place in Minneapolis, Minn. from Oct. 7-9. Registration is not yet open.
So far, NRMLA has announced only one other in-person event for 2025. The Western Regional Meeting will take place on April 29 in Irvine, Calif., returning to the same venue that held the 2022 edition of that same event: the Marriott Irvine Spectrum.
The association also offered some preliminary details for that event’s agenda, saying it will include a loan originator roundtable with professionals on the dais and attendee interaction; as well as a dedicated panel on the topic of proprietary reverse mortgages featuring representatives from Longbridge Financial and Smartfi Home Loans.
Real estate broker and podcaster Bill Gross will also be appearing during a panel conversation offering tips around the reverse mortgage conversation with clients, the association said.
Last year, NRMLA held its annual meeting and expo in San Diego, Calif. Officials from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) attended including then-Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Commissioner Julia Gordon and HUD Office of Housing Counseling head David Berenbaum.
NRMLA also recognized two of its longtime leaders with distinguished service awards, and NRMLA President Steve Irwin told RMD ahead of that event that it featured around 350 registrants from 134 companies.
HousingWire’s Reverse Mortgage Daily (RMD) will be in attendance at the event in Irvine later this month.
