Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate adds Tennessee affiliate

by Jonathan Delozier

A west Tennessee firm has joined the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate network — marking the brand’s continued expansion in the region.

Conner Real Estate LLC, founded in 2011 by Joey Conner, is now operating under the name Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Conner.

The firm serves a wide swath of western Tennessee communities, including areas between Memphis and Lexington.

The brokerage is led by Conner, along with brokers Tara Joyner in Brownsville and Tanesha Walker in Jackson, Tennessee.

Conner began working in real estate in 2003 after a stint in manufacturing. He transitioned to a full-time real estate career three years later. Joyner began working with Conner when the firm was founded and later stepped into a leadership position.

Walker, who previously worked in education, joined in 2020 and recently became the primary broker of the Jackson office.

“Our company operates on the golden rule of treating others as you want to be treated,” Conner said. “Internally, we foster a family-like work environment where every agent is valued as an individual, while externally, we’re determined, adaptable, and relatable in finding the perfect solution for each client.”

Joyner said the decision to affiliate with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate was strategic.

“While we’re already well-known in the markets we serve, we understand that we need a brand like BHGRE to continue pushing ourselves further,” she said. “This affiliation not only allows us to start with a foot in the door of the new markets we enter, but it also comes with immense leverage for attracting experienced agents nearby.”

Walker echoed the sentiment — noting the alignment between the brand’s focus and the brokerage’s values.

“Our business philosophy is rooted in community service and putting in the time, work, and effort to make our hometown communities a better place,” she said. “The Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate brand understands that perfectly.”

Ginger Wilcox, the president of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, said the trio represents the kind of leadership the company seeks out.

“They bring deep roots, real expertise, and a clear sense of purpose to everything they do,” Wilcox said. “Their commitment to their community reflects the very best of the BHGRE network.”
